Prince Harry has sported a T-shirt proudly proclaiming he is a ‘Girl Dad’ in a new video to promote his new travel campaign.

Today, he appeared on Māori Television in New Zealand to launch a new initiative by his eco-travel non-profit organization, Travalyst.

The new campaign will see Travalyst work with six top travel brands, such as Google and Skyscanner, to collect and display flight emissions data, so when consumers want to book a flight with lower emissions, they will be able to find the information they need easily .

And Harry, who is dad to Archie, three, and 11-month-old Lilibet, says it has been inspired by the Māori values of kaitiakitanga – guardianship and protection – and manaakitanga – to extend love and compassion – which were both concepts Harry learned about during trips to New Zealand over the years.

He also asks travelers looking for sustainable trips to ‘flip the script’ and asks “what would happen if our holiday rated us?”

To further promote the new campaign, Harry has also appeared in a YouTube video for Travalyst that sees him put his acting skills to the test.

The video, featuring Kiwi actors Rhys Darby, Dave Fane and Rena Owen, launches a new initiative in New Zealand for Harry’s Travalyst organisation, in which holidaymakers, rather than holidays, are rated for how sustainable they are.

In it, he wears the gray ‘Girl Dad’ T-shirt and can be seen jogging through a forest with a pair of Airpods in, before being ambushed by a ‘trip rater’.

The trip rater tells him he is rating him as a visitor to New Zealand from when he visited in 2018 alongside wife Meghan Markle – giving him a rating of three out of five – saying he dropped a lolly wrapper while there but only used one towel and bought local honey.

He is also praised for not leaving the tap running while brushing his teeth.

“I never do.. Hang on a second. How do you know that?… That’s really weird,” Harry quips.

The duke insists the wrapper is not his, with comedian Darby saying: “It might have been a confusing time, it was windy.”

Harry replies: “I don’t think it was confusing. It was an incredible time. We had an amazing time in New Zealand. It’s beautiful.”

Fane, who plays another rating agent, arrives claiming he is meant to be assessing the duke, saying: “I’m supposed to be rating Harry. You’ve got Harry Styley and I’ve got the stylish Harry.”

The duke delivers several phrases in Te Reo Maori as he chats with Star Wars actress Owen, who pulls up in a van to check on the disorganized agents during the skit which was filmed in California.

Harry then says the ambush has got him thinking – before he runs off into the distance.

New Zealanders now have access to a rating tool on the Travalyst website as part of the pilot initiative which encourages travelers to consider sustainable options during planning for their next trip.

The prince is known to love New Zealand, with rumors that he and Meghan were seriously considering emigrating there when they quit as frontline royals.

New Zealand’s governor-general Dame Patsy Reddy announced the couple were open to the idea more than a year before they stepped back from royal duties.

Harry and Meghan visited New Zealand at the end of a two-week royal tour of the South Pacific, six months after they married.

Last week, it was revealed they would be returning to the UK from their home in California with their children for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
